What is Java IV?

Java IV is all about the sweet joy of coffee, and the ease of ordering online.

This was a prototype born out of a brainstorming session with our team, that needed to be explored for our own internal testing and also as a proof of our service capabilities for clients.

The Problem:

We wondered how a coffee lover might access their favorite beans, accessories and retain all those preferences in a mobile e-commerce offering. This is how the Java IV project was born.

The Solution (My Role and deliverables):

I developed the prototype our team would use to demonstrate how we would solve this scenario and measure our design approach to web development in parallel with best practices.
Deliverables included:

  • Created wireframes

  • Invision build

  • User flows

Process:

Build prototype via Invision and presented to the team to allow for further testing and discussion as requested.

Below are examples of User Interaction + Dev Map/Path diagrams, allowing for me as UX/UI lead to pass on key details to the web development team. In this way both perspectives for intersecting touchpoints could be captured, and everyone can document their findings, and each side is aware of the overall plan and intent for a product.

Here are two demo videos of the wireframe designs and the prototyping patterns I wanted to impress on each screen before processing this through to Invision.

Finally, here is the prototype via Invision I provided to the team to allow for further testing and discussion as requested. I learned along the way that Sketch and Invision often support each other well for conceptual and final communication of visual interpretation.
